We are delighted to announce our new film, Roche Court: Park and Galleries for Contemporary Art, directed by Gary P. Malkin and produced by the New Art Centre at Roche Court Sculpture Park.
This film explores the origins of the New Art Centre, from its early days on Sloane Street, London, to its development at Roche Court Sculpture Park in Wiltshire, its award-winning gallery buildings, its varied and exciting exhibitions programme and the founding of the Roche Court Educational Trust. Featuring interviews with the New Art Centre's Founder and Director, Madeleine Bessborough, artist Richard Deacon and architect Stephen Marshall.
Current Exhibition in the Gallery I Place
Developed around four new works by Edmund de Waal, the exhibition includes paintings by Ian Stephenson and John Hubbard, and sculpture by Hubert Dalwood.
Surrounded by the rolling Wiltshire countryside, the light and open architecture of the award-winning gallery space, designed by Stephen Marshall, invites quiet contemplation of balance, landscape and our heritage.

The New Art Centre specialises in modern and contemporary sculpture, and represents the estates of a number of artists including Barbara Hepworth. The gallery was founded in 1958 in Sloane Street, London, giving many Modern British artists their first exhibitions, an approach which continues today. A varied programme of exhibitions comprises emerging artists together with shows of British Art from the 1950s onwards, as well as major artists such as Edmund de Waal, Michael Craig-Martin, Richard Long, Alison Wilding, Richard Deacon, Allen Jones, Laura Ford and Bill Woodrow.
Based at Roche Court in Wiltshire, the New Art Centre was the first sculpture park of its kind in the United Kingdom. Sculpture is sited in a sixty-acre park with temporary exhibitions held in the award-winning gallery space, the Artists House and the Design House. It is also the base of the Roche Court Educational Trust, which organises diverse events and activities for students of all ages.
