Keith Coventry (b. 1958) is known primarily as a painter but he has worked in bronze throughout his career. The first exhibition of his sculpture was held at the New Art Centre in 2012.

Coventry combines an interest in social issues and urban deprivation with humour and a fascination for history of art as well as a further belief in the restorative powers of art. Whilst he observes the times in which we live and explores aspects of loss, low life and urban decay, Coventry's works do not have a sense of foreboding and menace. Instead his works bring a dignity to broken images and re-empower things which have been damaged, overlooked or removed.

Coventry's works are now held in major public collections across the world including the Tate Modern, London, the Walker Art Centre, Minneapolis, the Museum of Modern Art, New York and the British Council.

Keith Coventry lives and works in London. He attended Brighton Polytechnic and the Chelsea School of Art. His work featured in Sensation, the seminal exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts, London in 1997 and numerous group and solo exhibitions around the world. In 1988 he co-founded City Racing, an influential no-for-profit gallery in London and was the curator until 1998. In 2006, Glasgow's Tramway (Art Centre) gave a mid-career retrospective of his work. Coventry's works have been included in exhibitions at galleries across the world including Seomi & Tuus Gallery, Seoul, The Lightbox, Woking, Julius Werner Gallery, Berlin, Kohn/Turner Gallery, Los Angeles, Curt Marcus Gallery, New York, Whitechapel Gallery, London, The Henry Moore Foundation, SMAC Art Gallery, Cape Town, the Whitechapel Gallery, London, Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego and Kettle's Yard, Cambridge.
