Mary Redmond studied at Glasgow School of Art where she received her MFA (1998) and undergraduate degree from the Environmental Art department (1994). Redmond has had solo and group exhibitions in the UK and internationally, including 'Sculpture Placement Group Sculpture Showroom', Glasgow Sculpture Studios (Part of Glasgow International 2018); 'Archive Fever!' The Clay and Glass Gallery, Ontario, Canada (2014); Cross Split Block, Platform, Easterhouse (Part of GENERATION 2014), Glasgow; and 'Funktion / Dysfunktion - Kunstzentrum Glasgow', Neues Museum, Nuremberg, Germany (2013). She lives and works in Glasgow.
Mary Redmond's 'Monastir Coast' is on display in the gallery as part of 'The Most Real Thing: contemporary textiles and sculpture' at the New Art Centre from 15 September - 4 November 2018.
