Family Workshop: Wild Beasts
Tuesday 13 February 2018

10am - 12.30pm, at the New Art Centre

Families are invited to discover wild beasts within the sculpture park! How and why do artists portray animals in sculpture and what might they symbolise? Families will bring their imagination and be led on an interactive tour of the sculpture park to explore answers to these questions, and many more. We will then use our findings to inspire our own animal-themed artworks.

Places are strictly limited, booking essential
£5 per child*, Ages 6 - 13.
Although there is no cost for the accompanying adult(s) we are very grateful for donations to the Trust
*Please note all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

Teachers' Open Evening
Tuesday 27 February 2018

5pm - 7pm, at the New Art Centre

Free with light refreshments
Join us for a special tour of the Sculpture Park, Gallery and Artists House at Roche Court. The particular focus of the tour will be to preview the newly installed exhibition in the gallery of work by Ian Stephenson whose paintings were described as 'the most beautiful being made in this country' when they were first seen in London in the 1960s.

The evening will be an opportunity to network, discuss and enjoy looking at contemporary art with other professionals and learn more about the Trust's programme of opportunities and events for 2018, including the launch of our new cross-curricular focus visits.

The Roche Court Educational Trust organise a programme of tours, lectures, discussions, projects and workshops, all of which are open to students, teachers, community and specialist groups. For further information please click here or call 01980 862802.
